PS3 is the console for people who no PCs are going to rule the earth, but until then.... The comment about bowling with the wii was because so many people were playing bowling, and the silly little cord that goes round your wrist broke and so the controller went flying. However this did open up a chance for all companies who make gadets for consoles (e.g. controllers, rumblepacks, etc) to sell grips for the wii controller.... The specs speak for them selves... effectu.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=248&Itemid=1

That is a point- the Wii simply does not stand up to the raw horsepower of the other consoles. Mind, the PSP is more powerful than the DS, which doesn't stop it sucking. Besides, the PS2 sucked compared to the 'cube and Xbox, yet still managed to outsell both of them put together. Tthe Wii is easier for developers to design for due to familiar architecture and is far cheaper to produce since they didn't stick a stupid video format no one wants in it. So I do not believe the specs so speak for themselves, frankly...
H, whilst I too despise MS and all their empty promises, I am more tempted by the 360 than the PS3. It's cheaper, and frankly has more games I want to play on it. FF and MGS on their own are not enough. Specially as they've lost Dragon Quest (hehehehe...)
I'm not against Sony on principle: I just think their hubris and lack of respect for consumers has led them to fuck up 2006, and possibly 2007
Seriously, does anyone actually want a Bluray player in their console?

HD DVD's (and BluRay) are going to fall flat on their face as HDTV and Films are far more likely to be delivered via the internet. It was waaaay to early to launch it, most people have just gotten onto DVD! Also you need a new TV.

Well at least Sony don't get sued by Cisco, unlike Apple!

PS3 is the console for people who no PCs are going to rule the earth, but until then.... Just a thought.... 425 for the console, a comparable amout for an HDTV- the best part of a thousand pounds to get the machine as it should be.... Why not just get a PC?

At that sort of price I don't disagree. I remember when the Playstation was £150 and you couldn't get a PC for less than about £1500...things seem to be moving in opposite directions these days!
