By Symphony X. This is definately one of my favourite songs at the moment, its just so melodic, so clever, that pinch harmonic in the main riff is genius, and the vocal line is great. Symphony X, prog? Come the fuck on. A shredded solo doth no prog make. Sigh I DO try not to be a genre dick head, really.
Anyway back on topic the Odyssey is one of the best metal albums of the last few years. Full of crunching riffs, and awesome vocal melodies. Also - for a shredder Mike Romeo is remarkably restrained. I like him a lot. Plus he's a riff monster, the king of terrors riff is fucking brutal. You missed when I played the title track at the last rocksoc!
