And if you'd seen us last night, you'd know we aren't terribly cultured either... Big muscley men making each other's heads explode... ...and the FORBIDDEN FIST!

No I wasn't saying anything I posted was cultured, just that it's damn fine entertainment. I just get iritated by people that seem to think that japanese have better EVERYTHING (i.e taste in games, tv shows etc), and that it automatically makes them cultured. You know, those big fat dudes that have shit like "otaku" or "hentai" printed on t-shirts. Why being a geek or pervert is cool is beyond me. Anime IS awsome though. And NGE would be appriciated, possibly with beer! I really really like Dragonball (the comic, never had time for the translation, which IS shocking and insulting whichever way you slice it. Managed to find a fan translation of the whole series a few years ago, and the cell saga on fansub. Woot) it's fun, and the plot takes some interesting turns. And the fight scenes kick ass. Although I can see why it's known as Drag-On Ball at times. Oh and I'm sure you'll find this funny: Japan's Top 100 games. Surprisingly it features a few RPGs. www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2401&Itemid=2%22It's quite possibly the worst top 100 ever. I mean look at number 1. JUST LOOK AT IT.

WHAT! FFX?!?!?! What's that about? Just cause it isn't set in an obviously European world, it's popular?
Jez, you can borrow NGE now, if you can play it on VHS. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a bit...
Oh, and "taste or powerful Fists of vengeance". hehehehe...

I really liked Vampire Princess Miyu. You aren't meant to understand everything that happens in anime though, right?!

The importatn thing is that it feels right, even if it makes absolutely no sense on a cognitive level (Akira knows where it is...)

I find it does to an extent...
Probably doesn't help that I have the original and the remastered - in the remastered they played around with scenes too much and changed stuff a bit, confuses things more x.x
