I dislike Trivium. I find them over rated, with little actual talent. Also they came off live as arrogant self important idiots.

Saw them at Maiden in Newcastle and they were very good! New stuff is much much better!

Hmm, possibly at 21 I am too old to like them but to me all their stuff sounds the same.
Like Dragonforce. Except Dragonforce wrote a good one to play all the time.
At the Maiden gig in Glasgow they met with a somewhat, frosty, reception from the crowd.

Frosty as in "They were not Maiden and came across as uncouth chaps".

More the cries of "Death to false metal!", "Boooo!", "Learn how to play!" and "Get off!"

There are five votes here. Who are the other two people lurking out there?

I personally loved Trivium new album, a real step in the right direction for them I feel...but im a big thrash fan so i can still see they are an acquired taste...one of the positive votes was indeed me!

They met a good reception in Newcastle, however that is not really suprising as there a large number of mini moshers in the toon.

However as i'm 21 as well i've learnt to be more open minded with music and if a band sounds good and the music matures as their albums go on then there is no reason why they can't be good. There is no reason why you have to be young to listen to a band like Trivium.
